The 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class packs power that sets the standard for its class. This sedan comes equipped with a 449 horsepower 4.7-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine mated to a smooth-shifting automatic transmission. There are three additional engine options including a powerful 577 horsepower 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V12 option available as well. Each model comes with the option of a standard rear-wheel drive or an available all-wheel drive. The new S-Class also gets an EPA-estimated 26 mpg on the highway, one of the leading in its class.
