Meet Our Most Staggering, Striking SUV: 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class

December 19th, 2014 by

Big, bold and boxy, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is one mean, monstrous machine. Personally, we at Mercedes-Benz of Union liken it to something of an automotive superhero. That’s because its longevity is downright legendary; the G-Class debuted in 1979 and has stayed put ever since. Take a peek at the clip below to learn a bit more about this outstanding off-roader’s evolution:

At present, there are two, unique powertrains available for the G-Class. The base iteration – featured on the G 550 – is a 5.5-liter V8 that churns out a whopping 382 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. Its bigger brother – the G 63 AMG® – gets a twin-turbocharged variant of the same eight-cylinder, which produces a prodigious 544 ponies and 560 pound-feet of twist. Opt for the AMG®, and you’ll zip from zero to 60 mph in a very scant 5.3 seconds.

If you’d like to learn more about this brawny bad boy, or wish to get behind the wheel of one, we encourage you to drop by our Union, NJ dealership at your earliest convenience. Our resident auto enthusiasts are at the ready to answer your every question about the G-Class, or any other Mercedes-Benz model within our fantastic fleet.
